Gregory Bauer, 56, Columbus Division of Fire, died in the line of duty due to Covid. Serving with the Columbus Fire Department for 25 years, Greg dedicated his life to helping others on and off the job. Respectfully called the “mayor” as the senior person at the fire house, he had a passion for mentoring young firefighters. Greg took pride in being the primary driver of the engine and was always available to support others on the team. With an infectious smile and laughter, friends enjoyed being around Greg and feel lucky to have known him. His memory will live through his family and many friends.
