Christopher Swierkowski, 58, Fire Department City of New York (FDNY), died in the line of duty due to World Trade Center Illness. Described as a perfect gentleman with a deep sense of duty, he served tirelessly and with compassion throughout his 24-year career with FDNY EMS. He was proud of his Polish heritage and known for his love of Oreos and pierogis. Christopher loved his family and would do anything to make them happy.
