Steven Zuckerman, 61, Eagle County Paramedic Services, died in the line of duty due to a medical event. Steve’s commitment to service included 25 years as a paramedic for Eagle County Paramedic Service, head of the Beaver Creek Ski Patrol, and as a member of Vail Mountain Rescue. Steve’s dedication to excellence in mountain safety was recognized internationally. Described as a superhero, Steve made a difference every day and worked to keep residents, visitors, and athletes safe. Living life to the fullest, he loved windsurfing and had a passion for Bruce Springsteen. His legacy is his dedication to service as a lifesaver, leader, and friend who brought people together even in the most challenging of times. Steven loved his family dearly and his favorite role was as a father.
