Lawrence Rand, 65, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, died in the line of duty due to World Trade Center Illness. Lawrence’s life of service started as an EMT with FDNY EMS then continued through 24 years as an officer with the Port Authority Police Department. Described as having the uncanny ability and personality to naturally comfort those in need, he had a great sense of humor with a laugh to match. Lawrence was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by anyone whose life he touched.
